Anyone with information in the break-ins is asked to call the Bartow County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division at 770-382-5050.

CARTERSVILLE, Ga. -- An 18-year-old Cartersville man has been charged with forgery and fraud for stealing from his mother.

Terrance Michael White was arrested Feb. 19 and has since been released from the Bartow County Jail on $8,500 bond.

His case began last October, when his mother noticed someone had cashed a $200 check from her bank account. She also found several unauthorized charges on her credit card, accoriding to Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap.

Investigators determined White took the check from his mother's home and gave it to a third party to cash; Millsap said the third party did not know the check was stolen. White also made several purchases with his mother's credit card in October and November.

He is now awaiting his next court date.
