Bartow County courthouse reopens after bomb scare | News
CARTERSVILLE, Ga. -- A bomb scare interrupted morning business at the Bartow County Courthouse Tuesday.
The courthouse was shut down after two bomb threats were called in to 9-1-1 before 9 a.m., according to Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap.
Nothing suspicious turned up in a sweep of the building by Bartow County Sheriff's Office K-9 units, Cherokee County Sheriff's Office K-9 units, Cartersville Police, Georgia State Patrol, and Bartow County Fire officials.
The courthouse was declared safe shortly before noon, but normal business wasn't resumed until 2 p.m.
