Man shot during drug-related argument | News
CARTERSVILLE, Ga. -- A man was airlifted to the hospital after being shot during an argument in Cartersville Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting happened shortly after 1:30 p.m. at a house on Maple Drive, according to Cartersville Police spokesman Lt. Mark Camp.
Camp said 44-year-old Tony Collum went to the house to confront someone about selling drugs to his daughter. At one point, 53-year-old Mark Harris pulled out a .32 caliber handgun and shot Collum three times.
Collum was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital, while Harris was arrested at the house, Camp said. Two other people inside the home were questioned by police.
Harris was charged with three counts of aggravated assault and is being held in the Bartow County Jail.
Police also charged 17-year-old Parker Harris, another person in the house, with marijuana possession. Camp said the marijuana was found when police executed a search warrant on the house.
