CARTERSVILLE, Ga. -- Four people were arrested in Cartersville last week on suspicion of stealing tools and trading them for drugs.

Officers with the Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a home on Walker Street on Apr. 17. They found drugs and stolen property inside the home; Cartersville Police spokesman Lt. Mark Camp said the items included lawn mowers, pressure washers, leafblowers, tires, wheel rims and watches.

Camp added that a check on many of the items confirmed that they were stolen.

Police arrested the homeowner, 58-year-old Leroy Windom, for swapping the stolen property for drugs, including cocaine. His charges include cocaine possession, theft and firearm possession.

Three others were also arrested for cocaine possession in connection to this case -- 35-year-old Fadrick Grissom of Cartersville, 60-year-old Curtis Turner of Cartersville and 26-year-old Lawanda Wilbanks of Rockmart.

Camp said police are continuing to investigate this case and more charges are possible.
